Exemplar Prep is a free, independent study product for the SIE exam, published by Sura A., Pennsylvania, USA. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by FINRA, the SEC, MSRB or NASAA.

Written to the official outline

Every lesson and question is original wording, written to the topics and section weights of FINRA’s published SIE content outline. No real exam question is copied or reworded: real exam content is confidential.

Every fact has a source

Each lesson and question lists the public sources it rests on, such as FINRA rules and pages, SEC and Investor.gov pages, the Federal Register and the options disclosure document. The exam facts on the SIE answer pages each link to a FINRA or Federal Register source and show the date it was last checked. Rules that are approved but not yet in force are described as pending.

Checked before release

Before a lesson or question is published, it is checked against its cited sources for accuracy, for fit with the SIE’s introductory level, and for clear wording, and the publisher approves it. When a rule or a source changes, the affected lessons and questions are checked again.

Corrections

Every question you answer has a Report an issue control. Each report is reviewed against primary sources, and a fix is published as a named correction. The list of corrections is on the support page.
